Rock Scorpions - 1.9" | 4.75" OD | 1.5" Width

The JConcepts Adventure team dug deep and looked at the tire line-up for simple yet performing solutions for an existing item in the line-up. The Scorpios, one of the original crawling tires from the team, has been a favorite for years, but after a nudge from the development team, has undergone some changes. A new ground up item has all the functions, features, and specialty construction as the original but by removing some elements is pushing the limits once again. 

Introducing Rock Scorpions, a scale looking tread with tall size and profile, jump out as the most obvious features. Starting by analyzing the tread, the design team focused on adding a bit more space for grabbing patches and edges. The padded arrangement of tread makes the tire ideal for transitioning from sand to dirt, and into slightly wet terrain, the Rock Scorpions can do it all. The rather scale-looking tire has some dramatic zig-zag action and with minor relief cuts, contour to very rugged conditions. 

The traditional 1.9” mounting bead diameter is ready for just about any wheel in performance-oriented builds, and the 1.5” width is now a new trend setting design element by JConcepts. Each tread block has finely cut edges with a healthy radius where the block meets the tire body. The outermost lug extends down the sidewall to stiffen the upper carcass and increase the pinch grip. The flexibility of the compound combined with inner grid ribbing provides support to a purpose-built performance core. 

The large overall height provides plenty of ground clearance for an abundance of terrain and sidewall tire lettering featuring brand, type, and sizing help identify a winner. The tires include a soft open-cell foam insert capable of standing up to the super soft compound but flexible enough for sharp terrain.
